This course analyzes mortgage affordability, highlighting the impact of fluctuating real estate taxes and insurance costs and suggests clients explore options like higher deductibles, self-insurance, and comparing insurance providers. This course analyzes prior insurance claims on the property and the seller's claims history. The course analyzes verifying transferable warranties on appliances, roofs, and foundations and explores encouraging buyers to re-amortize their mortgages to save money and build equity, potentially enabling reverse mortgages later in life. The course advises attorneys and guides clients through these often-overlooked aspects of real estate transactions.
